IT Operations Project Manager, Allegiant Airlines

2016 – Present

Manages the operations of all database projects and several operations projects for Allegiant Airlines and associated operations. Works closely with data analytics and business intelligence teams in creating solutions for needed infrastructure, reporting and development projects. Several projects include upgrading flight planning solutions to the latest industry standards, upgrading hardware for database server clusters, both for operations and disaster recovery, and team leadership within the Database Administrator team.

2015 – 2016

Leads and directs several technical projects for Zappos.Com, including integration of Zappos.Com and Amazon.Com’s inventory for sale on Amazon US1 Marketplace, and an R&D project to curate customized landing pages for repeat customers. Zappos.Com is a manager-less company, but projects still need to be managed to move them forward. Specialist in the Holacracy® management method.

Director of Development, PerBlue

2014 – 2015

Leads and directs PerBlue’s development team of 5 engineers in a Java environment to create iOS and Android mobile game applications. Also leads the QA team (2 engineers) and the UI/UX team (2 specialist artists). Manages the infrastructure of the company’s multiple servers, VMs and storage solutions. Responsible for all priorities, timelines and planning for the company’s products and services. Member of the company’s leadership team.

2013 – 2014

Managed the development of replacement software for the JBPM component of the JBOSS Java Stack at Total Administrative Services Corp (TASC), as well as a major product update, mandated by new law, to one of TASC’s major products. Managed two teams of BAs, Technical Leads and several developers, including off-shore resources.

Managed the implementation of four main projects and several smaller projects, for the UW Foundation, Alumni Association, the UW Union and Campus Partners. With a project staff of 20, the projects included implementing a university-wide CRM system, a new financial system for the Foundation, a data warehouse and a constituent portal.

Managed the design, implementation and deployment of quoting and ERP software for the retail and construction manufacturing industry. Managed 11 major projects for the world’s largest windows and doors manufacturers. Matrix-managed staffs of Business Analysts and Developers on each project. Responsible for all production aspects of a digital printing company. Managed the development of the software digital workflow, including web-based interfaces. Also, using this technology, published and printed two game hobby magazines, MWAN and Historical Miniature Gamer.
